Since that time, the airport has strived to be a friendly neighbor and member of the community, while displaying the joy of aviation and the economic prosperity that airports bring. In fact, records indicate that the airport was up and running as early as October 10th, 1917. The Watertown Regional Airport has been a member of our community long before the 1940's.
